Antonio “Tony” and Maria have long demonstrated a deep commitment to their community. Tony, an accomplished entrepreneur whose story reflects determination, hard work, and opportunity. He is the founder and CEO of Transfinder, a Schenectady-based international company recognized for its growth, innovation, employee-centered culture, and role as one of the region’s most dynamic technology firms. At the age of nine, Tony immigrated to Schenectady with his parents and sister from Caiazzo, Italy, in 1978 in pursuit of the American Dream. He met Maria while they were in sixth grade. Their story is rooted in family, culture, and Italian heritage. Together, they have built a life defined by gratitude, service, and philanthropy, while their son, Alessio, represents the next generation of the Civitella family story. Guided by the values passed down through their families, Tony and Maria honor their heritage through the generosity, meaningful connections and opportunities they extend to others. As dedicated advocates for education, healthcare, entrepreneurship, and community revitalization, they bring vision, generosity, and heart to all they do.
