About our Honorees

Dr. Nicholas Montalto is a Gynecologic surgeon, who has helped countless women, from bringing new life into the world to treating pain, infertility, and other medical issues. While still practicing surgery, Nick has more recently taken on the role of Chief Medical Officer at St. Peter’s Health Partners and formerly at Ellis Medicine. His leadership is both respected by colleagues and comforting for patients and families. Dr. Montalto earned his bachelor's degree from Villanova University, his medical degree from St. George's University, and completed his residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse. He has been at the forefront of women's surgery, performing the first robotic tubal reversal and single incision hysterectomy in the Capital District. He has also taught many of his fellow surgeons and mentored residents in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery.

Melissa Montalto, is the founder and owner of Longevity Functional Fitness, dedicated to the strength and conditioning of clients in their 20’s to some in their 80’s. Her main focus has always been quality of life and confidence through strength of body. She has helped many clients make transformative health changes and achieve personal and physical wellness. Her dedication to helping others find mental and physical balance through movement reflects the same spirit of care and compassion that defines the Montalto family's contributions to our community.

Cristine Cioffi, Esq.

"My vision and hope for Ellis is simply that it will always be here. I live in this community. In my own times of need, I don't want to have to go to Albany. I want to be treated here by the talented physicians, nurses, and techs who make Ellis great, and many of whom are friends. We have to make sure that Ellis is strong and that it lasts."
